Janice+Long are moving from the Toronto area to Edmonton, Alberta. There were many bumps along the way to their destination wedding in Mexico including US and Canadian government warnings about banditos, the economic crash and the swine flu epidemic. Their small, intimate beach wedding was a beautiful testament: less is more.
One final post from Valerie+Eddie in Dominican. Happy mini-moon. Now I'm in the Mayan Riviera in Mexico with Edmonton's Janice+Long - wedding on Monday. Stay tuned!
I'll begin with a post of details from V+E's wedding day at Punta Cana in the DR. Then more from this, one of my favourite all time recipes: A fun, relaxed couple. Throw in a lovely, scenic resort, and a large rasher of family love. Add a live, local trio, an iPod mixer of Michael Jackson's greatest hits, and finish with our Love Booth and a mass swim in the sea, and you get a nice collection of pictures for books and large reprints to come.
Double Espresso
At most of our weddings this season clients have passed the word on to friends and family that we are available to shoot a few portrait sessions at a reduced price in the days before or after the wedding. Two of Valerie and Eddie's closest friends took us on here in the Dominican. Here's a quick look at Ali+Freddie and Carl+Jose.
Stepped outside the resort today for a little fun around the towns dotting the Punta Cana area.
Dominican Delight
I'm in the Dominican Republic this week with Eddie+Valerie from New Jersey. We're planning a few sessions other than this morning's sunrise on the beach - stay tuned.
We are photographing Jenn+James' wedding at Granville Island in July and had a wee get-to-know-you tonight.
Deep in the editing process and posting these detail shots from a recent wedding. Thanks to photographer Candice Cusic http://www.cusicphoto.com for her fabulous assistance and second shooting for a few days of this project for me.
