Opening Salvo

Attended the 2010 opening ceremonies dress rehearsal tonight in Vancouver. No photography. Went to get a sense of how I'm going to photograph Friday's event. All I can say is don't miss it. It was spectacular. Back with the torch Wednesday and Thursday, then let the Games begin. I'll be twittering and posting here each day until the end of the paralympics. Should be a fascinating experience as my role is to shoot behind the scenes as well as sports photography from a unique perspective.

Games-Time Role

As the 2010 Winter Olympic Torch Relay comes closer to Vancouver and its February 12 opening ceremony I am taking a few days for Games-time orientation and accreditation. I will be back on the torch next week, but for now planning continues on how our small team will cover the entire Olympic and Paralympic Games for the commemorative book.
